Living Europe – Polish-Lithuanian-German Projekt in Masuria

From 16. to 23. august, the Fundacja Rodowo (www.rodowo.pl) and Jugend bewegt Europa (www.jugend-bewegt-europa.de), supported by the German – Polish Youth Network, will be organising a seminar called “Living Europe”.

„World peace cannot be safeguarded without the making of creative efforts proportionate to the dangers which threaten it. The contribution which an organized and living Europe can bring to civilization is indispensable to the maintenance of peaceful relations“.

With these words expressed by French foreign minister Robert Schuman on 9 May 1950 the first move was made towards the creation of what is now known as the European Union. Commemorating the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall and thus the „reunification of Europe“ the seminar will look at the history, present and future of the European Union as well as the chances and risks of European integration. Where is the EU taking us? How far will European integration go? And do we have a say in it?

Part of the program is also a one-day trip to Olsztyn. The work in international groups and the activating methods should make this seminar a truly intercultural experience.

Conditions of participation:

– interest in the process of integration of the EU

Costs:

– 40 € participation fee (to pay at arrival)
